South Orlando Animal Hospital was founded by husband and wife team, Dr. Glenn Finnell and Dr. Genye Hawkins. The hospital opened on November 1, 1985. Today the hospital staff is made up of five veterinarians and a support staff of twenty.
In the spring of 2000 Drs. Finnell and Hawkins realized that the staff and clientele had outgrown the building. The doctors and numerous other professionals--architects, contractors, engineers, landscape architects, and decorators made plans to double the size of the outgrown building.
The enlarged building made room for a business office, dog and cat waiting rooms, five exam rooms, a second surgery table, an enlarged isolation ward, a new cat boarding ward, a new boarding kennel with in-door/out-door runs and exercise yards, a grooming room and an employee lounge.
Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise. South Orlando Animal Hospital stays on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.
