SOUTH ORLANDO ANIMAL
HOSPITAL South Orlando Animal Hospital was founded by
husband and wife team, Dr. Glenn Finnell and Dr. Genye
Hawkins. The hospital opened on November 1, 1985. Today the
hospital staff is made up of six veterinarians and a support staff
of twenty. |
 |
In the spring of 2000 Drs. Finnell and
Hawkins realized that the staff and clientelle had outgrown the
building. The doctors and numerous other professionals--architects,
contractors, engineers, landscape architects, and
decorators made plans to double the size of the outgrown
building. |
 |
The enlarged building made room for a
business office, dog and cat waiting rooms, five exam rooms, a
second surgery table, an enlarged isolation ward, a new cat
boarding ward, a new boarding kennel with in-door/out-door runs and
exercise yards, a grooming room and an employee lounge. |
 |
South Orlando Animal Hospital has been an
accredited member of the American Animal
Hospital Association (AAHA) since
1992. Only 14% of the veterinary practices in the United States and
Canada have made this commitment to excellence. Member hospitals
must voluntarily submit to periodic on-site evaluations where their
facility, staff and services are judged on over 800
standards. Though the hospital and staff have increased
in size, South Orlando Animal Hospital remains a family
oriented practice intent on providing the best in medical care for
your pet without sacrificing the friendly atmosphere
established in 1985. |
